Equipment

Privilège catamarans come with features as standard that enable our clients to undertake extensive voyages with total peace of mind. Clients also have the freedom to add options and customise equipment to suit their individual needs and tastes. These bespoke customisation options include decoration, colour choices, surface coverings, materials, wood essences and much more. And if there’s something specific you’d like that’s not included in our extensive range of options, our shipyard team will do everything they can to accommodate you.

Wellbeing through design

Our catamarans are designed for the open sea, primarily for blue waters, and their layouts are geared up for making the most of the outdoors. With magnificent flybridges, very spacious cockpits, and impeccably styled saloons, it can be said that Privilège cultivates the art of elegance. Naturally, our clients are closely involved in the decoration and layout of their boat. On average, they spend two to three days at the shipyard configuring their catamaran. Working in close collaboration with our customer service team, they firstly make technical choices, specify their autonomy goals, the propulsion system, the choice of sails, etc. Then they’ll let us know what they like in terms of layout and design: the choice of materials, fabrics, colours, wood finishes, and all the options that contribute to an appealing aesthetic, mood and ambience of life on board. This culture of nurturing on-board wellbeing is at the heart of our DNA – and a skill we have been developing for years with our design partner, Frank Darnet.

Franck Darnet

Having grown up in a family of sailors and designers, it was only natural for Franck Darnet to become one of the most eminent interior designers for super yachts and luxury hotels in the world. For many years, Franck’s refined design has graced all Privilège catamarans, making them the most elegant multihulls. Franck’s signature is immediately apparent: bright and attractive interiors, perfect ergonomics and a wonderful cohesion and sense of space that makes life on board a pleasure.

Franck is always in search of new sources of inspiration amongst nature, art, and architecture. But most importantly, his design inspiration comes from the individuals who will inhabit his interiors. For Franck, a project must be centred around a person and their unique aspirations. Some dream of a classic interior, others seek a contemporary ambiance… This diversity makes the designer’s work extremely exciting and rewarding and Franck enjoys the challenge of delivering the desires of his clients.

Adaptation of volumes

If there is one area where catamarans have an undeniable advantage over monohulls, it’s in volume. But this volume must be managed intelligently, adapting carefully to your navigation program and the size of your crew. This is an essential step that goes beyond the number of cabins and the main equipment choices. It’s an important process but one that Privilège will always have great pleasure in helping you with so that you can take control of your boat and head in the direction that’s right for you.
