Philippe Jeantot Privilege Marine

Heritage

Since 1985, Privilège has been shaping catamarans designed for owners who dream of going further. Born in Les Sables d’Olonne, one of France’s most iconic sailing destinations, the shipyard has built its reputation on a simple conviction: a great cruising catamaran should combine comfort, reliability and the freedom to explore the world. Four decades later, that vision continues to guide every Privilège yacht.

Born in
Les Sables d’Olonne

Few places are as closely connected to sailing as Les Sables d’Olonne.

For generations, the Atlantic Ocean has shaped the identity of this coastal town, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, innovation and adventure. Today, it remains a global reference in offshore sailing and ocean racing.

It is here, surrounded by this unique maritime heritage, that Privilège Marine continues to design and build its catamarans.

Four decades of craftmanship

For more than forty years, generations of craftsmen, technicians and engineers have contributed to the Privilège story. While technologies have evolved, the commitment to quality, attention to detail and passion for building exceptional yachts have remained unchanged. Every Privilège catamaran carries the legacy of this expertise, refined and passed on through decades of experience.

Philippe Jeantot’s vision

The origins of Privilège are closely linked to the vision of legendary sailor Philippe Jeantot. A pioneer of offshore sailing and founder of the Vendée Globe, Jeantot understood better than anyone the demands of life at sea. His experience inspired a new approach to cruising catamarans—one focused on safety, comfort and true ocean-going capability.

That philosophy remains deeply embedded in the DNA of Privilège today.
